Shatta Wale fined Ghs10,000 + 2 sheeps and 6 schnapps for appearing late to a meeting.

Dancehall king, Shatta Wale known privately as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr is in hot waters for appearing 3 hours late to a scheduled meeting with the traditional council of Oguaa in the Central Region. A credible source has informed Ghnewsfilla that, the Nananom of the Oguaa area has fined him a whooping amount of GHC10,000 plus two sheep and 6 schnapps for showing up 3 hours late. The 'chop kiss' singer is in the region for his much anticipated concert to entertain the people of Central Region specifically the regional capital  Cape Coast but as custom has always demanded a meeting must first be held between the artist billed (in this case Shatta Wale) and the rulers of the land.

CEO of Slip Music, Mark Okraku Mantey who seems unhappy when Sarkodie sampled  Daasebre Dyamena’s song Kokooko which he produce without permission and threatened to sue him has revealed what transpired between him and Sarkodie when they met to talk  about the Kokooko issue. In an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat, the ace music producer disclosed that, Sarkodie upon seeing him asked if he didn't like him, for he has always tell his management Okraku want to see him succeed. "...Before we could discuss anything, Sarkodie wanted me to confirm to him that I didn’t like him because he has been telling people that I [Mark] likes him because he told his management I always want to see him succeed and that is why I react the way I react when things has to do with him...” He said Mark also choice M.anifest over Sarkodie his reason been it that, Sarkodie off late use profane words in his songs which he as a "old man" don't like listening to.

VGMA award set for April 8

The 2017 edition of the VGMA award ceremony has been scheduled to take place April 8, the board announced at a press briefing. According to the board chairman, Nii Ayitey Hammond over 700 entries were received for this year’s scheme, adding that some changes have been made to the scheme including the awards for Record of the Year and Producer of the Year, which will now be awarded by the Academy and Board. Also, categories for Political Song of the Year, Mix tape of the Year, and DJ of the Year have all been added this year, and as is characteristic of recent years, some categories have either been added, renamed, or rested.
Below is the scheduled activities for this year’s event:

In life we do make mistakes but it takes the mature one to apology. CEO of Shatta Movement, Shatta Wale has rendered an unqualified apology to all those he has hurt carrying out his task as a musician. The dancehall act used the Val's Day celebration to apologise via Facebook. He stated how sorry he is to have ended the intimacy he has had with them and said that he still loves them and ready to work with things out. "Our lives are such that , there will always be a point where some people around us will feel disappointed but hey such is life.Sorry if I have disappointed you along my line of business.I still got that love for those around to show me same.Today is for lovers all over the world and I want to say I love you all.. #champioooooooon".

Hiplife musician, Dadie Opanka has revealed why he is embarking on SHS tour but not tertiary.

Ghanaian musician, Armstrong Affum popularly known as Dadie Opanka has disclosed in a recent interview why he chose to tour Senior High Schools with his campaign message 'say no to drugs and alcohol' but not the tertiary institutions. According to him, the SHS students are the same people who further their education to the tertiary schools and educating them at the secondary level will riddance curing as the cliche says goes 'prevention is better than cure'  Speaking with Hon. Bawa on the Weekend City Jam on Enuanom FM Opanka said most parents and pastors have the perception that secular musicians are evil and that they don't do good music so he is using the SHS tour platform to educate the youth against intake of drugs and alcohol.
