Pay Charterhouse and they will forgive you -  Cwesi Oteng tells Shatta Wale

Gospel act, Cwesi Oteng has advised controversial dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr stage name, Shatta Wale to offer Charterhouse Ghana with a whooping sum of money in order to be forgiven his 'sins' and honour him with an award. "...he shouldn't apologize, Shatta should just pay the guys at Charterhouse if he can and he may be honoured with an award"  Speaking in an interview with ATV on February 4, 2017 the 'Jehovah overdo' singer in a response to a question whether as to some gospel musicians pay bribes to help them win awards at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) as George Quaye alleges " No one has ever called him (George Ouaye) to pay something to win an award during VGMAs" he stated vehemently   This advice comes in connection with the feud between Shatta Wale and Charter House organisers of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) for some years now.

The songstress disclosed that the song was to alert, inform and to educate women about how "evil" men are, since they don't give free gifts and always demand something in return. ‘’... wanted to create awareness to my fellow women to be careful when dealing with men"    When the host Kofi Asante quizzed why she always pops up in the news for the wrong reasons, the mother of two said that, she is always being misconstrued and wouldn't want to waste her time commenting 

Death is not scary - Maame Serwaa

Ghanaian actress  Maame Serwaa real name, Clara Benson has said in an interview with Agyenkwa FM  monitored by ghnewsfilla,  that she is not scared about the untimely deaths in the movie industry. According to the 'School Girl' actress she is not bothered a minute about the numerous deaths of late in the industry. She told D J B ICE host of the show that,   “Death is not scary the Lord is my Shepherd, it doesn't bother me if your time on earth lapses you shall surely go"

Ghanaian celebrities fake their worth - Actress

Ghanaian actress and arguably queen of bikini, Nikki Samonas  has revealed in an exclusive interview with "Let's Talk Entertainment" on Multi TV  that most celebrities fake their worth. According to her, most of the fashions they show off are not expensive as we think, citing herself as an example she said that she went to a diamond shop and tries a ring which costs $2M, took a picture of it and uploaded it on Instagram , not to flaunt but to have fun. "Humans often are glad about achievements and like to tell the world"  "…If you purchase a new clothe and you wear it, you feel good and comfortable in it, you desire to show it or flaunt it; this is part of ladies mostly and even the gents do it...” she lamented In a reply to a question asked by the host she said,  flaunting her boobs is something normal so Ghanaians should not worry about it. “.. my boobs are cute should it be heavy they can't even wear a bikini "

Joey B shares how Da Hammer saw the star in him.

Ghanaian rapper and singer, Joey B, real name Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin, has revealed how ace music producer and CEO of the Last Two music group Da Hammer saw the superstar in him when he was unsung. According to the 'Strawberry' singer Da Hammer introduced him to Obrafour as a superstar, a super talented boy. Joey B said though he is not a superstar yet but decided to shine Da Hammer 
"Man, about 5 years ago Godfather Hammer (Last 2) was telling obrafour about me he said, "Mike this guy trust me!! super talented boy!!! he'll be a superstar one day. His name is Joey B". He was sooo sure that i was wondering what he had seen that i couldnt see. God bless him, i'm not a superstar yet but i'd make him proud."

Highlife singer, Sista Afia kisses TV presenter on live TV

One of Ghana's fastest rising highlife act, Sista Afia has once again kissed someone publicly but this time not a fan but a TV presenter. The songstress went on a media tour in Kumasi to promote her new single “Jeje” which features Shatta Wale.  She got to 'Kessben TV on ‘Around Town’ entertainment show hosted by Quoo Fante. Minutes into the interview the affable host asked her for a kiss since he was absent at the YFM Area Codes Jam held on March 2016. Surprisingly, Sista Afia gave him a kiss. 

Radio presenter rallies campaign to get George Quaye sacked as PRO of Charterhouse

Host of kasapa entertainment Show, Kojo Preko Dankwa, has said in an interview with Sokoo Hemaa on Anigyekrom on ATV that the PRO of Charterhouse Ghana George Qyaye should be sacked for his bribery comments. According to Kojo Preko Darkwa , George Quaye's  apology cannot be accepted because he thinks he was forced and not because he felt he was wrong with his comments “I will be very surprised if George still remains at post. I am overwhelmed that bloggers and entertainment critics  are quite about this disrespect he showed"  Kojo Preko again urged gospel musicians to speak out else he may be tempted to say they pay bribes for awards. Few days ago, George Quaye said onTHE PUNDITS on GhOne TV that, Gospel artists give the most bribe to win awards and later made a u turn.

AMAA announces date for 2017 awards.

Organizers of the prestige awards scheme Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) has announced June 3rd, 2017 as the date set aside for the awards. The authority has extended the date for filmmakers to submit their wok. The last date for submission was 25th January, 2017. According to rules filmmakers were allowed to submit their work which they released in between July 2015 to December 2016.

Ever since Indian soap operas took over our screens most Ghanaians have adopted their style of dressing, foods and to the extent of christening their children after characters in their movies' Kumkum babies'. The recent development is Comedian and animal singer, Funny Face, known privately as Benson Ohene Oduro Boateng dressed in an Indian traditional wear. Sarkodie has disclosed why he hardly takes advice

Sarkodie in a latest interview with UK’s DJ Abrantee talked about Ghana’s music industry, why it’s hard to take advice from others as artists and more. The U Go Kill Me rapper talking about how widely Ghanaian acts are known around the world said; “It’s a good percentage, if you take countries like Togo and I ask you to name one artist, you will struggle. It’s not that bad. Nigerians and American’s are the same. Our attitudes and approach are different. Nigerians made us realize you can’t sit down till everything is fine, you have to invade other markets”.
